Teaching Philosophy

I am concerned with teaching students how to live an artistic life as much as I am with teaching them the practical application of art making skills.
I provide a calm, nurturing environment to enable the creative process to unfold.
I am dedicated to the teaching of art as a real subject that will give students the ability to excel in their other areas of interest and their comprehension of the world.
A quality all inclusive, visual arts education (history, critique, aesthetics and production), will aid students in developing critical thinking, multiple solution strategies, independent judgment, team-work skills, and increased tolerance.
I strongly believe that an understanding of Art can bring us to a more peaceful life on this Earth.
